What is CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviours are all connected. When we’re feeling anxious, stuck, or low in self-worth, we often fall into unhelpful patterns that keep us there.

CBT helps you become aware of these patterns and develop practical strategies to change them—so you can feel more in control, confident, and able to move forward. It’s an active, collaborative therapy that focuses on the here and now, while also making sense of how past experiences may have shaped your thinking.

Alongside CBT, I also integrate:

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT): to help soften self-criticism and build a kinder, more supportive inner voice.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): to support you in accepting difficult thoughts and emotions while taking action aligned with your values.

  • Mindfulness: to help you stay present, grounded, and more connected to yourself in the moment.

Together, these approaches offer a powerful foundation for emotional healing, self-growth, and lasting change.
