Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need?

CBT is typically a short to medium-term therapy. Most people benefit from around 12 sessions, though this can vary depending on your goals and the issues you’re working through. We’ll review progress regularly and tailor the length of therapy to suit your needs.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes—I offer a free 15-minute call to answer any questions you have and see if we’re a good match to work together.

What problems can CBT help with?

CBT is an effective therapy for a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety, worry, panic, and social anxiety

  • Low self-esteem and self-criticism

  • OCD and intrusive thoughts

  • Stress and burnout

  • Trauma and past experiences affecting the present
You can read more about how I work [here].

What can I expect in a session?

CBT sessions are structured, supportive, and focused on helping you understand and change unhelpful patterns in thinking and behaviour. You’ll learn tools and techniques you can use in everyday life, and we’ll work together to set goals that are meaningful for you.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed in therapy is confidential unless I’m concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else. I’ll explain this fully in our first session.

Do you offer evening appointments?

I have limited availability in the evenings. Please contact me for current availability.
